I trained as a graphic designer and illustrator, spending many years working in studios during the transition from drawing board to digital. When the second of my two children was born I started working as a freelance designer, giving me more time to rediscover my passion for painting in watercolour.

I have always been awestruck by nature - there is no better designer.

I never cease to be amazed by the incredible beauty and diversity of animals and plants around us,

so inspiration is always close to hand.

The magic of sunlight is another great motivator -  when the light is right the world looks amazing.

When the low sunlight reflects off the spires around Cambridge it is almost impossible not to reach for the watercolours, so inevitably Cambridge has become another favourite subject.
